In central Vietnam the Annamese Cordillera operates parallel into the coast, with several peaks soaring to elevations higher than six,000 ft (1,800 metres). Several spurs jut in to the South China Sea, forming sections of the Coastline isolated from one another. Interaction throughout the central ranges is difficult. The southern percentage of the
